California-born, New York-based, Solem's creative pursuits span across mediums and platforms. Influenced by her Norwegian roots, Solem’s work echoes her unique story and vision. As a young girl her passion for the creative process was born while watching her Father develop film in his darkroom. Fascinated by the magic of images captured on paper, she picked up a camera in her teenage years, cultivating her love for storytelling through imagery. While photography was her first language, her ability to find beauty in visual narratives grew to physical spaces and fabric made to garments. A window display, an editorial photo shoot, or a film set, Solem brings her aesthetic language to everything she touches.
